Karen started her healing career as an RN working with indigenous peoples on the Navajo and Hopi reservations in 1975.  She completed an NP & PA certification in 1979, a master's in health services in 1980 and in 1990 her CNM degree. While on the reservation she became interested in Holistic approaches to healing mentored by Navajo and Hopi medicine men and nurses.  She continued working with many marginalized populations and found that true healing included listening to patients, their stories, their values and cultures and the holism of their worlds. In 1996 she began her journey in homeopathy, studying with an internationally known teacher in the Evolution of the Self School of Homeopathy (ESSH). She received her CCH in 2012 after following hundreds of clients under the mentorship of her teacher. She became director of the US (ESSH) school in 2008, and remains active in homeopathic education, leadership and client-based care.  Karen also works part time as an FNP and CNM in a community health center in rural Arizona. As part of a wonderful team, she provides healthcare to un-housed patients and additionally does "PRN" work providing OB and women's health care in the CHC's busy OB/GYN clinic.
